October Exhibitions: 19th-Century Medicine in the Gaslamp Quarter

Throughout October, both museums will feature companion exhibitions exploring 19th-century medical history from different perspectives.

At the Gaslamp Museum, explore Before Modern Medicine: Disease, Healing and Medical Practices in the 19th Century, an exhibition examining the medical practices, treatments, medicines, and healthcare experiences of San Diego’s early residents.

The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum’s companion exhibition will explore the history of 19th-century Chinese medicine, offering a different perspective on health, healing, and medical practices during the same period.
